You will be receiving in the mail your “automatic” renewal cards for Homestead, Exemptions, and Classifications for 2012. You do not need to respond as long as you still “qualify” for the renewal. If you do not “qualify” any longer, please notify this office. Accordingly, if you no longer qualify for the Homestead Exemption and fail to notify this office, you could be subject to penalty and interest as provided by the Florida Statutes.

Please note that the deadline for timely filing for your 2012 Homestead and other Exemptions and Classifications is MARCH 1, 2012

It is the statutory responsibility of the Property Appraiser's Office to list and appraise all properties within Nassau County for ad valorem purposes and to administer exemptions. We strive to provide accurate information in a courteous and professional manner and we are committed to seeing that all properties are assessed fairly and just.
