Nassau County, FL – Property Appraiser Mike Hickox will open his Callahan office an additional day in an effort to assist taxpayers with their exemption filings.

March 1stis the deadline to file for many property tax exemptions, making this a busy time for the Property Appraiser’s Office.  Hickox has already announced that he will open his Yulee location the last two Saturdays in February and now he will open the Callahan office an additional day as well.

The Callahan office, located on Mickler Street, is open Tuesday thru Thursday from 8:00am-5:00pm.

In order to provide more assistance to the Westside of the county, Hickox will open the Callahan location on Friday, March 1st.

Michael Franklin, Agriculture Specialist for the Property Appraiser’s Office, explains that this will be a great opportunity for those people needing to apply for their Agriculture Exemption.
“Majority of Nassau County’s agriculture is on the Westside. Opening this extra day will make it easier for us to assist taxpayers with their agriculture classification.”
