Nassau County Property Appraiser

Tammy Stiles was born and raised in Nassau County.  Prior to taking the position of Nassau County Property Appraiser, she spent over 22 years in the Property Appraiser’s Office serving the citizens of Nassau County.

After graduating from Fernandina Beach High School she attended Florida Community College of Jacksonville.  She obtained her Certified Florida Evaluator designation in 1991 after taking the required courses in the areas of Real Property Appraisal, Income Approach to Value, Appraisal of Land, and Mass Appraisal.  Tammy has had numerous classes in the field of Geographic Information Systems, commonly referred to as GIS, and served as the Project Manager of the Implementation of GIS/Mapping in Nassau County.  After submitting an abstract essay to a contest provided by ESRI which outlined how to integrate GIS with Appraising she was awarded software and licensing to be used by the Property Appraiser’s office.  Also in 2009 she was honored with a lifetime achievement award from the Florida Association of Cadastral Mappers .Tammy later received her Certified Florida Appraiser designation upon taking office as the Nassau County Property Appraiser in 2009.  She is currently a member of the Florida Chapter of International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO), the Florida Association of Cadastral Mappers, and the Property Appraiser’s Association of Florida (PAAF).
